Help Someone...

Hey Farm To Table Fam! I hope you are having an amazing week! I have been taking a short sabbatical, which means to take time with God when you have some important decisions to make. Needless to say, God as been speaking and bringing peace! This week as I have visited this gentleman and have been trying to make sure his needs are met, these verses come to mind. The Bible says in Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." These Words really drive the point home that its not about us, but all about valuing others and not being selfish. Have you ever thought that maybe you can't be Happy and Selfish at the Same time? In a world where most people are looking out for their on self interests or what's in it for me we have to ask ourselves, what are we doing to help someone else? A simple act of kindness could start out small and then someone may even ask what is the reason for this help? That opens the door about a conversation about Jesus!
