Rest @The Beach

God desires for us to rest, but not just to rest but to rest in Him!

In Matthew 11:28 it says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." This week I am in beautiful Charleston, SC getting some much needed R&R. That may seem a little old school to say but it really means Rest & Relaxation. We all need it so we can recharge, refuel, and remember God! Before I even made it to the beach I knew God was going to speak to me about many things and I was ready. Sometimes though its not just to figure out some things about my life but to literally spend time in His presence. To "Just Be" and to actually make a memory with Him as my King. I can picture Him one day in Heaven saying "I really enjoyed spending time with you at the beach that time. Wouldn't that be incredible? It also says in Psalms 62:1"Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him." You see there is a huge difference between just resting and resting in Him. His rest brings about a peace that surpasses all understanding, we can truly rest with joy in His presence and with eternity in mind we can know we can rest in the salvation He can only give!
