Sword of the Spirit

Hey! Rock here! You may wonder why I'm holding this sword, 😂 well, we are working hard in the ministry and D.Earl picked this jewel up in his many travels. It reminds me of Ephesians 6:12 which says "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." If we aren't careful we will fight the wrong battles, the wrong people and through the chaos of spiritual war, we won't see things correctly. Imagine an army literally fighting amongst themselves while the enemy comes in close to pounce. As Christians we can sometimes be guilty of this. To remedy this we must stay close to God, consistently confer with the Spirit and look at our fellow soldiers through the lense of the Word. In medieval times, swords like this were two handed and heavy, so when you started to swing there wasn't much looking back. Let's be careful before we swing the Sword and make sure it lands where God intended it. Pray for us as the new book from the "Farm To Table" series is coming soon!
