The Battle...

Hey Farm to Table Fam! Hope today where you are is as beautiful as it is here in Downtown Toccoa, GA. This is my lovely daughter Jody and yes this Super Jewel is wearing a super cool hat but she also is a woman who wears many other hats. She is in the trucking industry, she is involved in international mission's, she's over a major ministry publication that goes all over the world called "The Battlefield News" and she is heavily involved in the editing, production and distribution of the "the Farm To Table Series. I must say I'm very proud of all that she is accomplishing and I feel joy knowing God is using her in an amazing way. Today when I thought of her and her role in "The Battlefield News", I thought about how this Christian life is truly a battle with much warfare raging all around us. The enemy (satan) does not like the Gospel being spread all over the world in any format and so there is a heavy cost for taking on that mantel and making sure it's done with excellence. I have tried to raise my children to honor God, fight for Souls and be excellent in all they do to bring Him glory. At times the lines get crossed, the battle rages and if your not careful we can be subject to what military commanders term "friendly fire". In a war, soldiers can get wounded by there own man because of the chaos and confusion of just being in "The War". As a family working together and in the ministry even though we love each other deeply, sometimes we have to remember the enemy is trying to cause disunity and descension and that's why we have to stay in good communication, pray for each other and have each other's backs. I love the scripture that says in Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others”.

This one scripture can help put us in the right frame when serving along side one another in this great Battle called life. ❤ Rock
