Warfare

Hey everyone! I know it may look like I'm just goofing off up here in Toccoa but we've been hard at it fighting for Souls and changed lives! D.Earl took this picture and it got me thinking about what it means in the Bible about being a good soldier for Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:3-5 says: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

If we are not careful we will get so caught up in the things of this world we will forget the War in the Spirit going on for the hearts and souls of others. We can get caught up in so many things; money, politics, relationships, family issues and all types of idols or vices. We have to remember that warfare in the Spirit is as real as the air we breathe and the ground we stand on. It is also crucial to remember this verse... Ephesians 6:12 For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. It's natural to have issues with people and not agree but we have to remember that we are not fighting against people but fighting warfare in the Spirit. How do we fight effectively? Any good solider knows to stay in constant communication with the Commanding Officer is key.(Prayer) Knowing the strategy of warfare is key also and being keenly aware of the orders and instructions given. (Bible) Staying in the fight with faith and wisdom knowing with Jesus we win in the end is what brings us assurance for today and the future! Love & War - ❤
